Spring Again.....
07. April 2007, 09:58 Posted by ErinThe sun’s coming out, the snow is melting and people are heading home. The farewell season is upon us, as is the Telus Ski and Snowboard Festival.
The ski year has been a good one, with november and December the best. Best day of the season? Christmas Day. Awesome snow and hardly anyone on the mountain.

Weather forecasters dont know s%#t
03. January 2007, 07:30 Posted by ErinSo western Canada was supposed to have a crap season and the reast of north America was supposed to have a “normal” season.
Talk about getting it wrong!
Whistler and MT Washington have just about more snow than ANYONE in the world right now.
I’m pretty sure they can see a couple of days out and the rest is guesswork.
99cms in the last 72hrs.

Minus 23 is a little chilly for me
28. November 2006, 09:39 Posted by ErinWe’ve got an Arctic weather pattern.
After an awesome start to the season with huge amounts of snow being dumped from a Pacific front, an Arctic front has come along cooling things down considerable. -26 last night and -17 in the valley right now.
No skiing for me today in that weather.
Even my central heating is having trouble getting the house warm.

The world's energy woe's solved
24. August 2006, 07:15 Posted by ErinSo there’s a company in Ireland call Steorn website here who claim to have developed and engine using magnets in a particular configuration, that once running put’s more energy out of the system than is put in. This is the “Holy Grail” of energy devices, a perpetual motion machine.
This goes against the scientific laws of thermal dynamics so there is some scepticism in the scientific community whether or not it is a hoax.
But they did lay out a full page spread in UK’s, The Economist magazine to ask scientists to test their evidence at a cost of tens of thousands of pounds.
Steorn has a wikipedia entry here and there’s also a great wiki on perpetual motion here
I’m not selling my car just quite yet…....
ps: I think I’m addicted to Wikipedia

07. August 2006, 17:43 Posted by ErinIts good to be back, I can drink the water again. The weather is a little more reasonable after the heat of California. A month of real Summer left before we head back into hard work
